The inspiration behind Making HER Story comes from my mother’s journey and the obstacles she faced in pursuing her dreams. Growing up in a small town, my mother excelled in her studies and aspired to become a doctor after completing her 12th grade. However, her dreams were stifled when her parents, fearing for her safety in a world they deemed unsafe for women, discouraged her from continuing her education. It wasn’t until she married and moved to Mumbai that she finally had the opportunity to chase her dreams. Witnessing her determination to succeed despite these challenges ignited a passion within me to ensure that no woman has to delay her education or aspirations due to societal constraints. As I pursue my own path to becoming a doctor, I am committed to empowering women by teaching them essential self-defense skills alongside financial literacy, so they can navigate the world with confidence and security.
